Glacier is an all white Pyrenees mix. He has one blue eye and one eye with both blue and brown (Parti-eye). We think he is a Great Pyrenees mix. This is not confirmed. As a puppy he is still learning to be house trained and leash trained. He has lots of energy and will need help with training. We expect he could be a large dog based on his size and age now. We have contacted a Pyrenees rescue for advice, to make sure Glacier is a good match for his new home. We will be using this information in evaluating homes for his placement. He should go to a home with another dog as a mentor and playmate. The home should commit to basic obedience. He should not be a livestock or farm dog. Pyrenees need strong leadership. But always positive reinforcement. No shock collars, e collars or pinch collars. He doesn’t need a ton of room but will do best in a securely fence in yard with a few walks a day. Adopter should commit to a force free basic obedience class at a minimum.
